PRANA, THE UNIVERSE AND BEYOND!
The origin of everything is not a place, it has not a place. That is really hard to imagine when you are just starting to study this kind of knowledge (Gnana Yoga). When we talk about a place then we are talking about something in the universe, in the space-time machine. Nevertheless, the universe does not come from the universe; it does not come from a physical region. So, where is it coming from?
This article has not the intention to explain about those two theories, but I need to make a point so you can understand this well.
The great forces which created the universe (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva) are beyond the universe known by science. They are self-intelligent forces or energies which bring life to all universes whatever visible or not.
Usually that region where they are is called the ABSOLUTE. It is beyond good and evil, beyond matter and spirit, beyond negative and positive, etc. Where is it? Everywhere! Right in front of you and behind and above and below. more over it is within you. It took me some time to get this, so do not worry if you do not get it in the beginning.
Modern scientists are asking a simple question. If those dimensions exist then, why we cannot see them? They came out with a very interesting answer: They are within everything. Yes! They are so close to ancient sages wisdom.
Nevertheless; Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are beyond all those dimensions. They are the cause of those dimensions and all universes within those dimensions. The known universe is only one of millions of physical universes and each of them has others dimensions. All of them together (The physical universes with their dimensions) are just Brahma's dream.
Brahma, the Father in Christianity, is the root of everything. The heart of the heavens or The Life Giver as Mayas and Aztecs use to name it. The sun was only a symbol of that source of energy which Hindus called Brahma.
A very special energy comes all the way from that root, from the origin of everything. That energy is called PRANA. So, what is it?
PRANA: THE PRIMORDAIL ENERGY!
Prana is within all atoms and therefore Prana is everywhere, within everything. Prana is that force which gave life to Adam, the vital air that was blown to him so he could have life. Prana is the primordial energy which is giving life to everything in the universe.
Prana is in the water, it the food we eat, in the air, in the music, and so on. Eating has a purpose, it is to obtain energy. What energy? Prana! The matter from eating is not the flavor; but the quality of energy we are letting get into our body. Therefore eating properly is important, but we do not need to worship food.
We know modern food has been altered and it is not natural. We cannot beat nature and the way we live and eat, usually, is not natural. We should eat organic all the time; but it is so expensive. My advice is simple: Eat organic when possible and careful about what you eat. Junk food is not real food, once in a while is not that bad; but it is even better to avoid it. Study about nutrition or get advises form people who know about it. This article is not about nutrition, but we have to understand the importance of the quality of food we eat because at the end it is energy and that energy becomes part of us.
We worry about what kind of gas to put to our car, we know the quality of the gas is important and the more expensive gas is better. The same logic goes with food. A car with a better gas will serve you better and longer. The same about your body.
Nevertheless, food and water are not the most important source of energy or prana. Air is another important source of energy. Some yogis could last 40 days without eating, but we cannot be a day without water. So water is more important than food. How long can you be without breathing? Maybe a few minutes. So, air is even more important than water.
Remember: Prana is within everything. That statement brings a huge range of possibilities. Why? Because everything is vibrating and therefore it is spreading energy. Whatever we see, hear, taste, smell, and touch is energy. Everything that we get in touch through our senses is affecting us whatever we are aware of it or not. The whole environment is affecting us every single second of our life. We are being bombarded by a huge range of energies at any given moment.
A great example is music. Music is so important in our life; it affects us a lot. A romantic song can make us cry if we lost the person we love. A nice and happy music can make us feel really great. There is not doubt on how music can affect us. The reason is that music is prana, energy.
It is already proved that music affect plants. Yes, they cannot hear, but they feel the energy coming from it. Millions of people who do not speak English are affected by the music and they dance with those sounds they cannot understand. It is the vibration, the energy, which make them to dance or sing. If music is so important then, what kind of music is the best? Classical music: Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach, Handel, etc. The second is relaxing music: Music for meditation and yoga as long as it relax you or make you feel better.
Another source of energy that we use in meditation or yoga is: MANTRAS. This will be explained in other article.
PRANA: SOURCE OF LIFE!
Things like this are not easy to understand in the beginning, but eventually they become normal and natural.
Prana itself is life and the more prana we accumulate the more life we have. Ancient people use to live longer, healthier and stronger; the reason was the use of prana. They used to live in harmony with nature and the universe. Nowadays we live without harmony with nature and the universe. Actually, our life style goes against nature.
Nature had been recycling things since the beginning of time. The water that comes from the clouds in form of rain was before on the ground. It just evaporated and went to form clouds. That is recycling. It is nonsense to believe that men created recycling. This recycling of things in nature is telling us that we should recycle too. We should recycle our own energy so we do not waste it. Nevertheless, people waste energy and they need to get that energy from different sources later. What if we could recycle our own energies? Wow, we could save them for important things or just to live longer, healthier and better. There are many ways to achieve this. One of those ways is learning Pranayamas (Link below).
Prana, being the primordial energy, is the key for a better life. Saving prana has many benefits, Some of them are:
How can I start using prana in a smart way?
The basic: A good nutrition, listening classical music or similar, practicing Mantras, learning pranayamas, etc.
Remember: Believing is not important. The matter is to experiment by ourselves!
