Well, beyond the body, the mind and the feeling that we all have there is a root of all of them: Energy! Everything is energy. Matter without energy cannot exist. Energy itself needs matter even when that matter is invisible to us. Invisible? What do I mean by that? Well, it is simple and we can explain it thanks to modern science; but believe or not ancient sages knew about all that. But they did not use our modern terms, they used simple terms. Well, let us get into that point.
Thanks to these great scientists we can understand better what energy and matter are. Yoga itself is really deep and it has a very integral nature. Actually Yoga is a science that goes with the flow of nature.
Now we know that there are different forces in the universe. One works with << VISIBLE >> objects: A ball, a rock, a car, a person, a building, a planet, etc. That is the force of gravity. There are other forces that work with the << INVISIBLE >> objects: Electrons, sub-atomic particles, etc.
Now, I think, you can understand something simple: There is a << Visible World >> and there is an << Invisible world. >> Can you see that the Invisible World is more important than the visible world? No yet? Let us explain.
Science teaches us that Gravity works with the visible World, objects that we can see with our eyes and without any lens or equipment. Nevertheless, that force is a lot weaker than the sub-atomic forces: Electromagnetism, the weak force and the strong force. Actually, according to science, these sub-atomic forces are millions of time stronger than gravity. Amazing, but true! More over << Quarks and leptons are the building blocks of matter. >> In other words, quarks and Leptons, which are totally invisible to our eyes, are the base of matter and therefore they are the base of life. The idea is simple: We pay too much importance to the <<VISIBLE THINGS >> when the matter is the << INVISIBLE THINGS. >> This is so true. The matter of a person is not the body, but his/her thoughts and feelings. Yes, I know having a healthy body is important. But, it is important to have great ideas and good feelings too, right? Ideas and feelings come from within and they are invisible.
We are an integral being. It means we are not just a body. We have different components: Body, thoughts, feelings and energy. Well, where is the soul? It is deep down within you! Where? How? We will explain this later.
HEALTH AND ENERGY:
Vibration is the key of everything. We all are vibrations of different types. Our life goes is developed according to our own vibration. Positive people bring positive vibrations and negative people bring negative vibrations. We are creating our own life. Yes, there are other factors to be considered. Right now we are talking in a very general way.
Your own body is vibrating is a particular way. This vibration is the sum of many factors within you. Some of these factors are your diet, you way of life, the way you think, the way you feel, etc. All that is you and it puts all your atoms to vibrate in a particular way; your whole body is vibrating according to all that.
Your health is the outcome of the vibration of your body as a whole. Here is where energy takes a huge importance. We are in essence energy. Nevertheless, we are a sum of energies within us: Thoughts, emotions, etc.
These energies change frequently. When our energies are low our vibration is low and then we are subject to get sick. The better quality of energy we have the healthier we are. This is why exercising, yoga and meditation are so important. All of them help us to increase our levels of energy and therefore they help us to have a better health.
When we are in a good mood the energies of the body work better than we when are in bad mood. The reason is simple: The vibration of a positive emotion or thought is higher than the vibration of negative emotions or thoughts.
The idea is to have a higher level of vibration rather than a lower level. Therefore, having positive thoughts and emotions help to have a better health.
We should take care of our diet as well. Remember: The idea of eating is not having a tasteful meal; but having the best quality of energy possible to feed your body. Having a tasteful or delicious meal might not be the best for your body. Usually those foods are sweet and we know how bad sweet things (desserts, ice cream, etc.) are for our health. We should avoid them and enjoy them once in a while.
The matter of eating is, as I said already, to get the best quality of energy to feed our body. This quality food will make our body to vibrate in a higher level making us to have a healthier life.
Everything is energy! Everything is vibration! If we change our vibration, our energy, then we can have a better life.
Believe it or not we can feed our soul too. The soul is energy, it is vibration and we can improve the vibration of our soul with yoga and meditation. How?
WHAT IS THE SOUL?
The body is a unity, which has many parts that we call organs. Within each organ there are cells. Every cell has molecules and each of them atoms. Is that the end of the story? No, because inside of the atoms there are the sub-atomic particles and the inner forces. At the end there is energy, the primordial energy! This energy is the reason of life. That energy is your reality or what you really are. But we think we are the body. We have a body, but we are energy.
Think about this: someone gives you a candy. You eat the candy, but the paper that is wrapping it goes to the trash; it has not importance, right? The candy is the soul and the paper wrapping it is the body. At the end the body dies; but not the soul.
When somebody dies the body becomes cold. There is a special heat within us, that special heat comes from the soul. When the body dies the soul (the heat) goes away and the body becomes cold.
We are energy and everything is energy. Food, water, air, etc. contain energy or prana: The primordial energy within everything. But, if you have a bucket with milk and you put inside a juice or maybe several juices, then you still have a bucket with milk, but the white color is gone and the milk is mixed with the other juices. The same happen to your soul. You still have a soul; but it is mixed with all the ideas of the world. The primordial energy within you (the soul) is mixed with different energies within you.
What about ideas and feelings? It is the same. Ideas and feelings are energies. If you are with people who have some kind of ideas they will affect your ideas. Even if you do not agree with them, in the beginning, you might accept their ideas later because the energies are being mixed. The same happens to emotions.
Everything (being energy) can come into you through your senses. Everything then, can be mixed with your primordial energy or soul. At the end the soul is a mixed of all those energies. Therefore, we should be careful with our diet; but his goes even farther: We should select the kind of friends we have, the kind of books we read, etc. All that is feeding your soul.
We are feeding our soul with the different types of energies coming into us. Nevertheless, all that is affecting our physical health too. Soul, mind and body are connected. If one of them is sick the others will pay the consequences.

HOW CAN YOGA CHANGE OUR VIBRATION?
Our vibration is a mixed of our soul and those other energies that we assimilate in life. The soul is a very high level of energy; but the other energies are not. When these energies (Negative thoughts, negative emotions, poor diet, stress, wrong way of life, etc.) drag us to lower levels of awareness they also bring down our energies. The price is high, the outcome is the kind of life we have in the world.
When our energies become low then our vibration is low too. A higher energy has a higher vibration. Our well-being depends on high levels of energies. Sickness come from inside, not from outside. If our soul is good then immune system is good too and then germs and viruses (External factors) cannot overcome us. On the contrary, if the soul is not providing enough energy or if our energies are on low levels then the immune system does not work properly; so germs and viruses can overcome out defenses.
The matter of health is a matter of energy and/or vibration.
Yoga and meditation can improve our vibration. Believe or not the more calmed you are the higher vibration you have. The power is not on violence; but on love. Violence seems strong; but nothing is stronger than love.
Love produces the highest level of energy and hatred the lowest. As you can see, our mood can change our vibration and it affects our health.
Yoga exercises have the power to heal us; but not that easy. Do not forget: Our regular level of energy is low, because we are contaminated with the regular energies of life. The more you purify your thoughts, emotions, diet, type of life, etc the higher levels of energy you will get and then health will come as a result of all that. Why? The reason is simple: You are changing your vibration.
Yoga exercises have the power to change your vibration and, therefore, yoga improves your health. Remember: Yoga is more than asanas. Yoga is a philosophy and a science. As philosophy it gives you a way of life. As science it gives you practices to experiment. Its philosophy improves you as a human being. Its science changes deep down: Soul, mind and body!
I always recommend visiting your doctor. Yoga alone is not enough because our levels of energy are, most of the times, low. Under this circumstance we always need extra help and who can be better than your personal doctor? Nobody else!
Real health does not come just from a good diet; but from a total change in our way to think, feel and act. Everything in life is affecting us and it is up to us to take the right path or to keep going on the same direction.
Yoga and meditation can improve your levels of energy and your vibration. Yoga has a great potential to keep you healthy, strong, young, flexible, happy, etc.
Pranayamas are great to boost your energies. Oxygen is more than O2, it has prana: The primordial energy of the universe. Yes, the same energy your soul is made of.
The idea that we are just the body is 100% wrong! Matter cannot exist without energy. The body cannot exist without a source of energy. We are more than a body; we are more than our own thoughts; we are more than our own feelings. Deep down our true nature is energy: The primordial energy that is called Soul.
Whoever wants to be original should find first his/her own soul. It is what we really are and it is beyond the body, thoughts, emotions, etc. This is what is called: Jnana Yoga, the yoga of knowledge (Self-Knowledge).
Socrates said: << There is only one good thing: Knowledge. There is only one evil thing: Ignorance. >> That knowledge is, was and always will be: SELF-KNOWLEDGE. That is why the great Greeks said: <<Men know thyself and you will know the universe and the gods. >>
YOGA AND THE LAW OF ATTRACTION!
All our atoms are vibrating and therefore the whole body is vibrating. This vibration is unique in every single creature of the universe. Some might be really similar, but they are supposed to have at least a tiny difference.
This vibration creates an electromagnetic field with the power of the inner forces known to man: Electromagnetism, the weak force and the strong force. Please do not forget that they are stronger, millions of time stronger than gravity. So, you cannot take them for granted because they play a huge role in your life. How?
Did you ever hear about the LAW OF ATTRACTION? I bet you did. That idea comes from hundred, maybe thousands, of years ago. Buddha explained it in several ways. He said, for example: << you become your thoughts >> or << The world is made of our thoughts >> or << You become what you think. >>
The idea of bringing positive things to our life is real; but you have to do something about it. You cannot just wait for things to happen. It does not work like that. If that was the case then everybody would have plenty of money because everybody thinks of it every day. The reality is the opposite.
A positive aptitude and positive thoughts help to build whatever you want; but you have to work for it.
Yoga teaches us the need of positive thoughts and the need of a good aptitude; but it teaches the need of an inner change in order to fulfill whatever we want.
We need to have a real change in our mind, feelings and in our actions. Yoga takes you from a regular life to a higher life. How is that? Yoga practices, including meditation, changes your vibration slowly. The outcome is wonderful: You will see life in a different way. You will appreciate life more and more. You will learn to see the miracle of life and the amazing things around you. This small change is enough to change your vibration and life will change for you.
The law of attraction will start working, not just because you are thinking of it; but because you are doing something to activate that law.
Practicing yoga (I mean asanas and beyond) transforms your whole life because your vibration changes. This does not happen overnight; I wish though. It is a long, but worthy trip. This is why just asanas are not enough; yoga gives us a whole philosophy and science to achieve more than we think of.
Remember: The law of attraction is, at the end, your inner vibration. If you change your vibration then life changes because you are activating that law within you.
