DO TEENS NEED YOGA?
Everybody needs yoga and meditation in modern times. Stress does not care about age. Teens have a lot of homework and a lot of pressure from school. We are sucking their brains more than ever and they are doing less exercise than years ago. Teenagers have many worries and they are fighting to become adults. Yes, teens need yoga and/or meditation to recharge their batteries and to let go the stress they have.
More than ever teens need yoga and/or meditation. Let us explain why…
TEENAGERS UNDER PRESSURE!
More over many teens are facing anxiety and depression because they are having too much pressure from the school, from the media, from their friends, from their family, etc. It is not easy to be a teenager nowadays. It takes a lot of courage to be a teen and the sad part is that adults do not understand the situation or the environment where teens are.
Teenagers have more pressure than before. Nowadays nobody is safe, not even at school. Think about this: You go to school and then a gunman comes to shoot some students. Can that happen again? Yes, where? Nobody knows, but this is happening more and more. It will not stop and this is part of the pressure teens have to face.
Violence does not respect age and bulling is everywhere, it includes schools. Teens and kids have to face all that kind of things. There are other things they have to face, but we will get into those things later.
A school for parents with teenagers could be a real good help. Yes, a school to train adults on how to deal with the modern needs of young people. I bet teens would love that and I think they deserve that. We are not in the middle age any longer, so parents need to face that they need help to help their children and teens in a better way.
ANXIETY AND TEENS IN MODERN TIMES.
Parents should pay a lot of attention to the needs of teens and make them feel the love they really need.
The WebMD has a nice article about Anxiety and teens:
<< What Is Anxiety?
For teens or anyone else, anxiety is a normal reaction to stress. Things like tests, meeting new people, speaking in public, going on a date, and competing in sports can make us feel apprehensive. But some teens react much more strongly to stressful situations than others. Even thinking about the situations may cause them great distress.
Anxiety can be a good thing when it helps you deal with a tense situation. For example, when you're studying for a test, a little anxiety can make you want to study hard so you do well. But at other times, anxiety can be harmful, especially when it is excessive and irrational, and prevents you from being able to focus. >>

TEENS NEED LOVE.
Parents should understand better their kids and teens. They are living in another world full of technology and really different from the world their parents lived in. I really wish it was a school for parents to teach them how to treat teens. It really could be nice for both: Parents and teens.
Love is the most amazing feeling and the most beautiful experience of all, but it needs a time. Fruits need time to be ripe; otherwise the fruit will not taste as good as it suppose to be. So, love cannot be rushed and it is better to wait for the right person and the right moment.
No teen should have pressure about going into a relationship. There is no need to rush. Love is prefect when the time is perfect. Otherwise the outcome will be a broken heart and suffering.
Parents should make a real effort to give teens what they need: Love and understanding. If they have that then they will be happy and they will not rush into any relationship.
Many teens looking for love get into the arms of someone who only wants pleasure, but not love. Teens heart are beautiful, but parents should take care of their teens to protect their hearts.
STUDYING: A NIGHTMARE!
Studying nowadays is a nightmare and the worst part is this: Even if you have a degree it does not mean you have a job! Again: How to pay the loan?
There is a lot of pressure on the shoulders of our teens! They need help and we have to help them to become great men and great women. They are the future of the world.
TIPS TO STUDY AND DEFEAT THE EXAM!
A calmed mind can think better and keep fresh what they study. Yoga and meditation can help them to relax and through pranayamas they can bring vital energies to their brain to think better.
A great advice is this: Pay attention to the teacher the most you can. That will help you to get into your mind the lesson. Then study everyday 30 minutes to one hour. Forget about pressure, just do it and try to enjoy it. I know it might not be easy, but it helps. A few days before an exam then you should study a little harder, but without pressure.
If you get nervous or anxious at the moment of the test you need to calm down. Being afraid or nervous will not help at all, actually it might erase your memory for a moment. What to do? Calm down; breathe slowly, long and deep; say to yourself: << I can do it! >> Be confident and fulfill your victory! It is really important to believe in oneself!
Have fun, go to a park, play your favorite game or sport, get out of your house, do some exercise (This is really great to take stress away from your body), laugh a lot, eat properly, do yoga and meditation.
