STRESSFUL SOCIETY AND STRESSFUL JOBS!

Some countries have two our lunch, so the employees can go to have lunch in their home and, even better, they can have a nap before returning to work. Obviously, it could be better to take the nap first and then lunch. Anyway the idea is really nice. The matter is simple: MODERN JOBS ARE TOO STRESSFUL!
What can we do?
STRESS: WORKING FAST!
There is a saying: "I wanted for yesterday." It shows how fast the boss wants things to be done. Employees, of course, most follow directions and they most do things as fast as possible; otherwise, they puts their job on risk. How healthy is that? That is the question. Yes, it is far from being healthy; actually it pushes people to their limits and the level of stress rise up really high.
PEOPLE LIVE UNDER AN ALARM STATE MOST OF THE TIME! Is that fair? No at all.
Now we have emails, fax machines, smart phones, etc. All that makes communication really fast; but it is funny because people do not understand more because of that. Well, all that helps all companies to do things faster. If the boss is traveling then a phone call or an email for him to approve a decision and then the employees can continue any transaction. It is so simple.
The problem is this: The fastest an environment is the more stressful any situation could be. We can think twice and take it easy when we do things slowly and without a rush. The mind thinks well when we are not under stress. The mind cannot think properly when we are full of fear or when we are under a panic situation.
Yes, we cannot stop from working; we have to go with the flow; but the price is too high: Strokes, heart attacks, brain hemorrhage, panic attacks, etc.
We need to do something about this. What?
RELAXATION IS THE KEY!
A quick breathing relaxation on the job.
That simple exercise will not take your stress away, but it might help you a bit. It depends on how stress you are at that moment. Give it a try.
You could add to the above exercise some numbers. How? Just count to five or six while inhaling; then hold the air counting again to five or six and finally exhale counting to five or six. You need to focus on both: Air and numbers, for this exercise. Nevertheless, if it is too much just focus on the numbers or do the practice without counting.
If you can do that for ten wonderful minutes it could be better. Take a break and relax a bit.
Walking meditation for the lunch time!
Walking Meditation? What is that? A regular walk without any meditation is good, but even better if you use meditation for that walking. How can that be done? It is simple, but it is better if you do it where there is not people to distract you.
The idea is easy: You walk paying attention to yourself. Feel your steps, feel the air around (The breeze), feel the air while inhaling and while exhaling. Focus on yourself. Do not think about any problem or situation on the job. Take it easy, you are a human being. We all make mistakes and one huge mistake is forgetting that you are human.
Walk alone and feel your body. Feel yourself alive. Inhale deep, slow and long. Bring some prana to your longs. Refresh your mind. Focus on yourself and forget everything else for some minutes. Is it too much to ask?
Well, I know that exercise takes some time to do it properly, but it is so good. We rally need to disconnect ourselves from everything for a while. Try and practice until you do it in the correct way.
Yes, you could do a regular meditation (Seat down) in your lunch time. Yes, it works too.
Relax, take it easy. It is not the end of the world. Everything has a solution. sometimes that solution is hidden and we cannot see it because we are under stress. Relaxation brings calmness and focus to see things in a different way. The solution might be right there in front of you. Just relax and take it easy.
We all are entitle to some peace and happiness!
A short meditation on gratitude!
Gratitude sends and brings positive energy; while ingratitude and/or selfishness sends and brings negative energies. People have a very bad habit: They think about themselves all the time. They do not have room to think of others' needs, as if they were alone in the whole planet.
Meditating, even for 10 to 15 minutes, on all we have helps our inner energetic system to work better and it makes us feel better. So, seat down in your office and forget about everything for some minutes. Turn on the radio to listen a smooth and peaceful music. Relax, it is not the end of the world. Breath deep for five minutes and tell to yourself: "Everything will be fine." Yes, slow down you are a living being and you are entitle to peace and calmness. Keep breathing slowly and deep, then bring into your memory those great moments of your life and all those good things you have: Food, a place where to sleep, clothing, a healthy body, a job, family, friends, etc. I know, you might not have all what I just mentioned; but you focus on the things you have.
You need to be aware of what you have and focus on them. forget about everything else. Do not waste your energy on what you do not have. If you do so, you will bring bitterness and frustration. Train yourself to do this exercise daily until you do it better.
There are many things you cannot change. It is not worthy to worry about that. focus on what you have, on what you can change to improve. Your brain needs to know that you have things to be happy for.
Picture the mountains, the rivers, the shinning sun, the beautiful stars, the pretty moon, the amazing nature, etc. Picture yourself so happy, enjoying all that. Yes, you have the right to enjoy your life. Do not waste time complaining; that is just a bad habit that you need to brake. Appreciation and gratitude can destroy that illusion, that enemy of happiness.
Relax, things will get better and you have the right for a peaceful moment. You are alive and you are entitle to happiness, peace and freedom.
Meditation on the boss and the job.
You boss might be anger and maybe his way is not the best; but he/she has a lot of pressure and his/her personal problems too. Nobody knows what other people are going through. Nobody knows the story behind each person. Criticizing is so easy, it does not take any effort; but trying to understand others is not that easy, it takes some effort.
If we appreciate the opportunity of having a job then we have to be thankful for it. Meditating on the boss will make you to understand him/her better and to break some resentment or negative energies involved in the relationship.
So, take a few minutes to close your eyes and breath deeply. Picture your job and see how many people are looking for a job. many of them would like to have your place, even if your boss is not so friendly.
Picture your boss and try to understand how hard is his/her job. bosses have a lot of pressure and they do not know how to handle all the problems of the company and their personal life. so, be easy on your boss.
Guest what? The more you understand him the more you will help him and sooner or later he/she will notice it. Your relationship might change for better.
It is important to enjoy what we do and that includes the job. If you really do not like it then look for something else; but in the mean time practice this simple exercise trying to understand your boos and being thankful to have a job.
Good luck and be brave because you can do more than you think!
