WHAT IS MEDITATION FOR?
Meditation is not relaxation. You can relax your body, but that is only a step torward meditation. You can relax the mind and then you are close to meditation. But meditation is beyond the mind; it takes you to the realm of inner silence. How is this possible?
RELAXATION AND THE INNER ENERGIES.
How can anyone meditate under pressure? How can a person meditate when he/she is worry? How can someone meditate when the mind is working like a hurricane? Nobody does! The first step is to relax your body and take stress off. My experience tell me nothing is better than exercising to take the stress away! Well, if the stress is not too much then a meditation without exercising is possible.
Relaxation will let you inner energies to move properly and at the needed speed. Stress makes your body hard and the energies cannot move freely. It is like traffic when you want to go through the Lincoln Tunnel in the rush hour. You see how mad people get trying to do so at that time, at least they get annoyed. Traffic moves so slow. It can take you an hour to move a few blocks. Really annoying! Yes, that is happening to your inner energies when you are under stress, worry, with anxiety, depression, mad, sad, etc.
Your inner energies move according to the speed the stress allow them to go. Our task is to let those energies move freely. How do you feel when you relax your body? This is known only through experience: Inner peace, calmness, blessing, etc. You really feel so nice that after your meditation you do not even want to move because you do not want to lose that state. If you try to relax your body, but you do not get that great relaxation state, then you are doing something wrong. Maybe you need to practice more. Actually, the more you practice the deeper the state you get!
it takes time to get a real deep relaxation. Some times you have to be just lucky. Once you experience a good relaxation then you want more.
Relaxation will let your inner energies move freely. It makes your energy to vibrate with more intensity and that is what is causing such a blessing state. The higher the vibration you get then the deeper the state of relaxation you get.
PRANA IS LIFE!
Breathing properly can bring more prana into your body and that is more energy and more health. The body can get into a more high level of vibration,that produces that special sensation of inner peace and blessing.
It is possible, through Conscious Breathing, to carry more prana to the brain and the heart. Yes,oxygen is really important, but the matter is the type of prana within the atoms of oxygen.
Conscious Breathing carry oxygen and energy to vitalize your body and your mind. That improves your health, but it makes your brain to vibrate in a higher way. The more prana you get into your brain the more it relaxes. This can produces higher level of conscious, more awareness of yourself and life.
Yes, we all need health, but health is not just a matter of the body; but it includes our mind and soul. Real fitness is for the three of them.
MEDITATION AND PRANAYAMAS.
Combining meditation and pranayamas is really great. A lot of prana, contained within the atoms of oxygen, are taken by the body and the mind. Pranayanmas help us to relax the body and the mind in a faster way. Doing pranayamas (10 to15 minutes) before meditation is so good and it prepares you to meditate better. A pranayama can be done in the middle of the meditation practice too. Nevertheless, you should focus and do not lose that focus while either meditating or doing pranayamas.
Pranayamas also help you to improve your inner energies.
MEDITATION AND STRESS.
The best way to fight stress is through exercising. Then meditation helps you to get deep relaxation and to go even beyond. The idea is simple: first do exercises to take the stress off and then go for a deep meditation. Pranayamas help a lot to get into a real deep mediation.
Stress does not let the brain to work properly. It does not let the brain to rest at all. The brain needs a lot of oxygen and, of course, the prana within the oxygen.
MEDITATION AND THE BRAIN.
That is one of the outcomes from deep meditation. Some people think they meditate properly, but what they do is to relax the body and then they start thinking of something. Wrong! Meditation is beyond the mind. If a practitioner is thinking while "meditating" then he/she is not meditating at all.
The idea of meditation is to control the mind; without such a control meditation is not possible. Controlling the mind is meditating without interruption from the mind. A busy mind is a huge obstacle for meditation.
Some people say you can meditate for ten or fifteen minutes; but it is totally false. You can relax yourself for some minutes, that is different. But real meditation takes long to achieve.
Physical meditation is good for your health. Mental relaxation is even better. Deep meditation is a real blessing; it takes you to Samadhi: The experience beyond the mind. Only in that state the brain works without any limitation. Real freedom beyond any limitation comes from it!
People do not know that the brain is not the maker of light; but the receiver. Such reception is within Samadhi!
MEDITATION AND SAMADHI!
Relaxing the body is fine. Relaxing the mind is a lot better. Samadhi is beyond both: Body and mind. Nobody can understand it properly until it is experimented. Human words cannot describe such a blessing. Sometimes people feel so relaxed (while meditating) and they feel a great level of peacefulness; but that is far from Samadhi.
this state is the one where all sages of all times experimented that what people call "TRUTH!" It is beyond human concepts, opinions, beliefs, etc.
Samadhi brings light to the soul, but it also brings health to the body, the mind and the soul.
